NE250 2023 Day 5 – Craighead Caravan and Camping Park

After leaving Collieston Harbour we headed to the Seal beach to spot some seals, we heard it was the largest colony of seals in the UK but at this time we only spotted 4 – Nature Reserve ( we actually tucked the motorhome up in the car park behind the golf club, directed by one of the locals as we drove down, no one questioned or bothered us as we were not too long)

We then headed to Craighead to empty, refill, shower and chill for the day.

Good Hardstanding pitches with grass surrounds

£25 a night for Pitch, showers, toilets, washing facilities (coin operated), fresh water, CDP, very quiet site with lovely owners, would definitely visit again if in the area.

Oban Caravan and Camping Park – Oban

We stopped here for one night after a short drive from Strone Hill CP, the road to the site is a single track road with passing places, the site is situated on a hill with Hardstanding and grass pitches some with views some blocked by trees.

£25 per night gets you hot powerful showers, clean toilets, washing rooms and external washing up areas, shop, WiFi, CDP, fresh water and drive over grey waste drain.

The site needs a little updating, the Hardstanding pitches have better views than the grass pitches which is a shame.

You will need levellers here, even with our auto levelling system we were at the limits on the front to get almost flat.

Out at Last – Unity, Brean

It’s so nice to be out in the motorhome again, the weather is nice, the sun is shining and it looks good for the weekend.

We are at Holiday Resort Unity @ Brean, not normally our kind of site but its very nice, quiet and we are tucked out the way in the yellow field, onsite there is entertainment, food, (Chinese, Indian, Fish & Chips ).

The pitches are hard standing with plenty of room, electric, water and grey waste at the pitch.

Toilets and showers seem roomy and clean, it seems a lovely site.
