After so long we are back in Scotland again and it feels great, its so lovely to drive up here and I have always found the locals friendly and welcoming.

We arrived at the Falkirk wheel not really knowing if it was going to be busy or quiet, we have never been to Scotland at this time of the year and with it being May Day Bank Holiday weekend we were unsure of what to expect.

We parked in the top car park marked for overnight stays and walked down to the Visitors centre as directed, cafe, gift shop and toilets are all inside. At the counter we paid our £15 for the night and left a £20 cash deposit for the Key to access, CDP, Toilets, Washing room and Showers (cash returned when returning the key in the morning)

They do a boat trip for £14.50 per adult for a trip up and through the wheel which I thought was reasonable.

We had a great nights sleep and the showers were clean and hot throughout, we would definitely return if over this way.
